I just installed pChart 2.1.0 on Ubuntu 10.04 ( Apache2, PHP5 ).
Looking at the examples, the page looks fine, except the Rendering Area is just a small grey square.
I don't see any error messages anywhere.

In Firefox, it says "Rendering" for an instant. Then, is a small grey square.

In IE, it looks like this -



and it just spins forever.

I had to install GD.

The way I found it was going into the Sandbox, I got the error message about GC.

sudo apt-get install php5-gd

then

sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

Thanks for your feedback Brian, I'll add a simple test in the sandbox that will display an error if GD isn't installed.

Maybe at the top of the first Example page? Then I would have found it immediately.
