Is it possible to set weights for points in a scatter chart like for bubble chart? The closest I've found is setScatterSerieWeight() (btw, the example in the description is incorrect and I wouldn't mind a bit more information about the function), but that seems to work only for a line scatter plot and only for entire series.

I believe that you're speaking of a scatter bubble chart? This function isn't implemented yet. You can set the width of the series plot by using the PlotSize parameter of the drawScatterPlotChart() function but it applies to all the series.
