This would be a nice touch

Post This would be a nice touch
Just an idea to think about:

I found this project via the Sourceforge site and pChart really caught my attention by the demo of its abilities that was on the site. ( http://pchart.sourceforge.net/demo2.php )

It would be really nice to have that demo functionality added to this site for v2.x and to also have the option to view the code created by the demo when you use it. This would not only showcase what pChart can do, but would give new users starting out the ability to see and learn from the demo code generated. The demo makes some really nice charts and it would be terrific to see the code behind them. Just an idea for you to consider.

Thank you for such a wonderful project!

This is something that I've planned to do. As said by mice32, running it from my frontend would add additional load to my httpd, I'll need to evaluate and rescale my infra if needed.

The chart editor (PHP pages) will be added to the /example folder so users will be able to get it as an offline dev tool that will run locally.

Kind regards,
JD.

Sandbox! And if it "will be added to the /example folder so users will be able to get it as an offline dev tool that will run locally", then AWESOME!

This is the case ;o)

BTW it was a good idea, it helped me to track and fix some few bugs in the library.

The sandbox is now finished and will be included in the 2.0.9 subversion.

Only things remaining, the ability to show the code. This will be a piece of cake in regards of the whole stuff.

This adds another 1658 lines of codes to this project ;o)

It might be a good tool for beginners.

This is terrific! It should help out beginners and also help cut down on the requests for "how do I" types of things once the 'show code' is added. An excellent addition to an already excellent project!

Next great addition would be a PayPal link to donate to the project. :-)
