The biggest issue I'm facing is the scatter graph overlaid on top of each column. If that's not possible, is it at least possible to do something with the floating shapes in the center?

Hi,
You're right, the issue is with the shapes graph (that have different X padding). So the answer is no.
If you're ok to have the shapes aligned in the center of the X division then you can do without any problem; the chart will be a combination of a bar chart, a line chart and a plot chart.

I know it's been a while but I was wondering if we could achieve the desired effect by using a scatter graph overlaid over a column chart? It's a bit hacky but it might work... I tried doing that last night but I was having issues with the axis.
If possible, could you show me a simple example of having scatter and column graphs combined together?
